Description

Position Purpose
To oversee the common guest areas of the fitness floor, gymnasium, and fitness lounge. To provide personal attention to every guest.
Essential Functions
- Stays up-to-date on the latest development pertinent to the department and becomes well-versed and trained in their usage.
- Reviews Daily Log book and Opening/Closing checklist.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the Fitness Area
- Maintain all equipment utilized in Fitness Area, noting anything needing repair and completing proper documentation to do so.
- Prepare fitness department equipment and supplies daily.
- Ensures pleasant visit for each guest and maintains effective guest relations.
- Knowledge of all amenities available to guests at the WELL Spa.
- Required to assist in other areas of the WELL Spa including but not limited to corporate games, front desk, bike rentals, locker room and the gym floor.
- Follow safety and sanitation standards.
- Flexibility with schedules to accommodate business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Must be proficient in all aspects of fitness testing and prescription ie cardiovascular, flexibility, body composition, strength, pulmonary function, etc.
- Must maintain current certifications.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Knowledge of principles and processes of customer and personal services.
- Must be familiar with customer needs assessments.
- Must meet quality standards for service and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Ability to read, write and speak verbally in English.
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, and climb for more than half of the normal work day.
- Must work well both with others and independently and be a team player.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective relationship with all department management, staff, personnel and general public.
- Must work well under pressure.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Reporting Relationship
This person reports to the Spa Operations Manager
