Salary range - $61,800-$81,600

The Assistant International Market Operations Manager is responsible for assisting in all areas of the Rooms Division. This requires a solid understanding of housekeeping, guest services and front office. These responsibilities may also include staff training, development and scheduling. The Assistant International Market Operations Manager will promote an atmosphere that insures customer and associate satisfaction. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests, other departments and team members. Additionally, this position will require as follows.

  • Increase brand awareness of Grand Hyatt Kauai as a travel destination for Korean travelers
  • Guide hotel marketing and communications strategies and objectives to align with the brand direction and guest attraction from Korea.
  • Close collaboration is required with Sales & Marketing and divisional leaders
  • Conducts extensive competitor research and maintains excellent Product Knowledge of the Hotel.
  • Constantly monitors and evaluates local, national and international market trends, and the competitor hotels’ sales initiatives, in order to make sure the hotel’s sales remain competitive and cutting edge.
  • Develops and reviews Personal Business Plan which is linked to the Hotel’s Annual Business Plan
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationship with the established clientele and constantly explores into new business opportunities.
  • Liaises and works closely with the related operation departments ensuring guest's requests and expectations are being met.

Qualifications

Professional Expertise and Personal Attributes

  • Experience in leading a multi-brand marketing platform within Asia Pacific
  • Strong influencing and diplomacy skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of working among diverse cultures and business practices in Asia Pacific and United States
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capability
  • University degree or above
  • Dynamic with high levels of energy and drive
  • Self-motivated and highly flexible, with an ability to work in a global environment
  • Fluent in Korean and English, oral and written
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
  • Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
