EXPERIENCE: Customer service/commercial cleaning experience required; Supervisory or leadership experience preferred

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license; state issued id

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to see small objects in low lighting; tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing an allergic reaction; reach, push and pull with hands and arms; sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl;

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust and noise

JOB SUMMARY: Assists management in presiding over Shift, monitoring & evaluating employees, department shift inventory, Shift Coverage, performing day to day cleaning operations as needed.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Required to work any day of the week, any shift including weekends and holidays; the ability perform assigned job duties in an interruptive environment, Required to have a good rapport with co-workers and develop teamwork

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Delegates duties to housekeepers and ensures their work conforms to Casino standards of cleanliness
• Assists management in investigating complaints and corrective action process if needed
• Inventories stock and orders supplies to ensure adequate supply level is maintained
• Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation
• Examines equipment to determine the need for repairs or replacement of equipment
• Attends staff meetings to discuss company policies and patrons complaints
• Assists others as needed with their assigned area
• Completes assignments with little or no supervision
• Presents ideas and suggestions from co-workers to management
• Coordinates and maintain daily shift log
• Assists in screening job applicants; recommends promotions, transfers, and dismissals
• Assists in recording data regarding work assignments and personnel actions
• Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff
• Issues supplies and equipment to workers as needed.
• Performs day to day cleaning duties as needed

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

At least 18 years of age

• Written and verbal communication skills
• Multitasking skills
• Adaptability
