Position Summary:
The part-time Administrative Assistant provides excellent customer service to our members by greeting and checking in visitors and furnishing callers with necessary information. This position keeps the Chamber Office running smoothly on a daily basis by providing customer service, support to all departments and other administrative functions.

Roles & Responsibilities:
· Completes monthly expense reports for executive team. Verifies expenses with Vice President of Finance and Operations.
· Administrative support which may include distributing mail, mass mailings, recording checks, etc.
· Manage all incoming/outgoing communications. (phone calls, info@grandrapids.org email)
· Actively demonstrates commitment to the Chamber’s vision, mission, and organizational goals.
· Integrates the Chamber’s diversity, equity, and inclusion goals within everyday duties.
Operations/Facilities Responsibilities:
· Greets and checks in visitors, furnishes callers with necessary information.
· Keeps the office running smoothly, by anticipating needs and becoming familiar with the day’s calendar of meetings and events.
· Maintain database with work café activity.
· Assist with room arrangements and rental signage.
· Fill in wherever needed for PTO and extended leaves of absence.
· Manages and maintains the appearance of the work cafe by ensuring cleanliness, making coffee, and running/emptying the dishwasher daily.
· Provides excellent customer service to ensure members and guests feel as though they belong.
· Assist with day of meeting space rentals.
· Provides general administrative support across Chamber departments on a project basis.
· Support management of member database.
Supervision Received:
Specific Direction: Follows established work procedures. Receives periodic checks for performance. Refers unique questions/conditions to immediate supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervision: No supervisory responsibilities.
Education & Experience:
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent
2. One (1) to two (2) years of experience in administrative and customer service role.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Extremely strong oral and written communication skills.
2. Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office, Scheduler, Outlook, internet, phone switchboard, postage meter, copier, and fax machine
3. Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
5. Driven, adaptable, and exudes a positive attitude.
6. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
7. Broad knowledge of Chamber services, activities, policies, and procedures.
8. Willingness to help wherever needed and with a SMILE.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 22 – 26 per week
