Grand Sierra Resort is Hiring an Audio Visual & Tech Services Manager Near Reno, NV

SUMMARY

The Audio Visual Operations Manager will ensure the highest standards of audio visual service to the clients while maintaining a professional and cohesive relationship with all departments at Grand Sierra Resort. The AV Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily AV operations, including project delivery, and ensuring on-time project completion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Ensures all AV equipment and services are delivered by team on time and in good working condition.

· Works closely with team members and clients to maintain relationships.

· Operates department within established budget guidelines and identifies ways to reduce expenses and improve efficiency in the operation

· Oversees equipment maintenance schedule and preventative maintenance plans and procedures

· Attends all departmental meetings and pre-convention meetings.

· Uses inventory control policies and procedures to maintain complete inventory accountability at all times.

· Maintains operational and cosmetic standards on all equipment.

· Keeps current with new technology in the area of audiovisual equipment and services.

· Assist & direct clients to appropriate team members for event planning, services, etc.

· Assist the Director in creating, running, and auditing equipment orders and AV bookings into Delphi systems.

· Working with Unions including contract negotiations.

· Schedule team members to ensure appropriate business levels. Audit, track, and process all payroll functions for team members.

· Hire, train, and coach AV Tech Services team members to ensure team development within department.

· Maintain lift certification logs/cards and all SDS sheets.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Must be at least 21 years of age.

· Advanced technical knowledge of how to setup, install, troubleshoot, and break down all audio visual equipment is required.

· Exceptional computer and software skills for multiple platforms.

· Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.

· Effective time management and multi-tasking abilities are a must; a professional appearance is required.

EDUCATION

Minimum 5 years’ Audio Visual management experience in a hospitality environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Must possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts and employees at all levels of the company. Must possess a strong attention to detail and presentation skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, guests, and general public.

Results oriented, hands-on professional with the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and employees. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to create and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions through decisive judgment. Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

· The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance visions, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
