Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team at Grand Valley Water Users Association. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment to support construction and maintenance projects. This is a full-time position with competitive pay, benefits, and year-around employment. We have been in business for over 100 years in the Grand Valley and your employment will put you working all across the valley from the Roller Dam in the DeBeque Canyon to Highline Lake and beyond. Duties:
- Operate and maintain various types of heavy equipment, including trackhoes, dump trucks, backhoes, mini excavators, skidsteers, dozers, road graders, and hauling equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Follow direction and specifications to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
- Safely transport materials, equipment, and supplies to job sites
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate work activities and ensure jobs are done correctly and efficiently.

Experience:
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, bulldozers, etc.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Familiarity with excavation techniques
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and Class A CDL required
