Responsibilities

• Reviews billing preview report daily, checking accuracy as it pretains to HCPC codes, diagnoses and modifiers, and corrections of errors prior to the release of billing.
• Monitors active rental database and sends for new scripts and authorizations as appropriate.
• Sends claims electronically to Medicare and most commercial insurances.
• Reviews EOBs in a timely manner and send/call in appeals to insurance companies for denied claims.
• Reviews payments for accuracy and appeal or refund as appropriate.
• Sends statements, dunning letters and places collection calls in a timely manner to obtain payment.
• Prepares and sends patient accounts to collection agency after all attempts to receive payment have failed.
• Posts payment to patient accounts.
• Sends invoice balances to patient and/or third-party payers.
• Processes incoming mail and prepares bank deposits.
