Grandma Joan Live-in Consulting and Recruiting is Hiring a Live-in Caregiver Near Dallas, TX

PLEASE READ FIRST: What do we mean by Traveling Live-in? You relocate and move in with a client at their house. You work full-time, usually 6-7 days per week. You have a private bedroom in their house. You help them as needed, on and off, throughout each day with memory care or ADLs and house chores/cooking. You sleep in their home every night. You may get scheduled breaks to leave the home each week or month. The family who you are working for is your household employer. They directly hire you themselves. Our clients use our company to find interested candidates to choose from. They decide on the specific job details, duties, schedule, and pay.
Experienced Caregivers Wanted for our Rising Star Program
What is the Rising Star Program? It is a program meant to give household employers a wider choice of applicants, by including experienced caregivers who have not "lived at work" before. Our client's are household employers across the US. We present them with screened candidates from which to choose.
Interview by video. If you like each other, the family can contribute towards your transportation to get to them (drive or fly).
Position: Live-in caregiver
Client's desired schedule : Full-time live-in with 12-24 hours off a week.
Pay range: $5,000-$7,500 per month , depending on the client's care needs, the schedule, and your ADL/memory-care experience. The client decides the offer, not us!
Key Components to be considered for the Rising Star Program.
  1. Have three strong references from previous paid care-business employers. The references can be from a family that employed you or a supervisor/ RN from the home care agency/group home or assisted living that employed you. Employment verification is required.
  2. Have 2 years of verifiable ADL / memory care experience.
  3. Have a driver's license and be willing and able to drive the client in the client's car.
  4. Be both cat and dog-friendly, and be willing to assist with pet-care.
  5. Willing to be drug tested and background checked.
  6. Have the technological means to do a Zoom video interview (laptop, computer, or smartphone)
  7. Have health insurance or be willing to get a self-paid policy if hired.
  8. Willing and able to travel to and move in with a client in a different state for 3-12 months. Most of our clients will offer to pay for your travel costs to get to them. You can negotiate weekly and monthly respite time off directly with them. They choose your pay, duties, and schedule, not us.
  9. Must be residing in the US and authorized to work in the US for any employer.
  10. Have been certified by the Live-in Caregiver Association or be willing to get certified by taking their career development course for live-ins.
Process :
1. Fill out an application. You will move on to the next stage if you meet the above job requirements.
2. Pass a 6-question phone screening interview with us.
3. Submit your Live-in Caregiver Association Certificate or complete the certification course at https://www.liveincaregiverassociation.com/career-development
3. Submit 3 caregiving references that we can verify. You will move on to the next stage if your references are verifiable and positive.
4. Have a Zoom interview with the family's recruiter. They are working to find the top 3 candidates for our client to interview.
5. Directly interview the family via Zoom. This is your time to shine and to ask questions about their specific needs and desired live-in schedule.
6. If they choose you, you will get a written job offer to consider. If you accept, you will need to move in with them by the start date (usually 2 weeks after being hired)
We do not employ or co-employ any caregiver. We are 3rd party recruiters specializing in fulfilling live-in caregiver positions with families. The family is the employer and pays you directly through a payroll service. All pay is on the books as a W2 employee. You negotiate all terms/schedules/duties/pay with the family, not us.
