Grandview Medical Center is hiring a strong Registered Nurse for our Neurosurgical Intensive Care unit!The ideal Neuro ICU nurse will have a wide degree of creativity and latitude in order to provide high acuity and post-surgical nursing care for neurosurgical patients.
Responsibilities:

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, concurrently performing a variety of tasks
• Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Requirements:

• Requires an associate's degree and an active, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within emergency or high acuity care is highly preferred
