Position Description
The individual in this position meets patients at the reception desk and/or admissions desk. The individual in this position is responsible for gathering and accurately inputting all relevant registration information, as well as preparation of the daily clinic scheduler. The individual is responsible for pre-payment collection and insurance co-payment collection. This individual is also responsible for answering calls, transferring calls, taking messages, scheduling appointments, and directing visitors to the appropriate areas. The individual works closely with the Business Office. The work must be accomplished with integrity, sensitivity, and respect for the confidentiality and privacy of patients.
Work experience as a receptionist or similar role-medical office experience preferred.
Professional attitude and appearance.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
Excellent organizational skills.
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Customer service attitude.
