Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.Job SummaryThis position requires a dependable, student friendly and patient individual to work with K-6th grade students in a classroom setting under the direction of the building principal and leadership team. This position will provide classroom instruction for students in grades K-6. Will work with the building administrator to provide positive learning experiences and monitor student engagement. The time spent providing instruction will allow the classroom teachers to meet in grade level collaborative groups. Attendance and physical presence are required and is an essential function of this position. Essential Functions
Teaches students skills to overcome barriers, cooperative/collaborative attitudes and build self-esteem.
Monitor student participation to ensure students are learning and developing.
Follows district policy for attendance.
Communicates in the workplace as needed.
Implements mini-lesson plans for the classroom setting.
Forms partnerships with students, teachers, and staff for student progress, goals, concerns, and accomplishments.
Engages children with enthusiasm, variety, and novelty across the whole day.
Attend required professional development opportunities to enhance skills in working with students, including but not limited to behavior management, job coaching and monitoring.
Completes reports, including keeping daily records of student progress in relation to mini lessons presented during PLC time.
Works under the direction of the building administrator(s).

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to monitor student engagement levels during mini-lessons.
Basic reading, writing, math, organization, record keeping and computer skills.
