What you'll do:As Director, Startup Banking, you will be responsible for acquiring and managing a portfolio of startup clients in our digital banking platform. With the primary objective to grow deposits and revenue opportunities through these banking relationships, you will need to cultivate and leverage various programs and channels inside the venture community and ecosystem. Grasshopper has a strong culture of working cross-functionally across our organization to achieve greater results, so you will work closely with our Digital Direct, Embedded Finance and Marketing teams to grow the Startup portfolio.
Responsibilities:

• Drive revenue growth goals and attainment through new client prospecting, acquisition and retention
• Develop, implement and manage referral partnership programs with companies that work with or support startups
• Manage and expand current relationships with accelerator programs, as well as identify and implement new accelerator/incubator opportunities
• Partner closely with venture firms to offer Grasshopper's banking services to portfolio companies; this can be both through the bank's Fund & Sponsor Banking VC/PE client portfolio and your own network
• Positively represent the Grasshopper brand through in-person opportunities, such as hosting, attending or speaking at industry events, conferences, etc.
• Manage inbound sales opportunities and execute additional business development initiatives to profitably grow the portfolio
• Work closely with the Digital Direct, Marketing and Client Services teams to ensure onboarding and engagement initiatives are aligned to provide a great banking experience
• Grow the Grasshopper Connect marketplace, a platform for providing curated, value-add products & services to our startup clients that we do not offer directly
• Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and offer regular performance updates and recommendations
