Position Overview

Graves Foods, a 75-year-old wholesale foodservice distributor in the Midwest, is seeking a results-driven Sales Specialist.

This role involves actively promoting and selling foodservice products to both existing and prospective customers, including nursing homes, schools, restaurants, and other foodservice providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Relationship Management : Establish, develop, and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Lead Generation : Reach out to customer leads through cold calling.
  • Sales Targets : Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Collaboration : Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments.
  • Market Analysis : Analyze territory / market potential and keep abreast of best practices and trends.
  • Presentations : Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience's needs.
  • Feedback : Maintain relationship management skills and openness to feedback.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Age & Legal Requirements : Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Driver's License : Valid driver’s license required.
  • Screenings : Must pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Customer Service : Strong customer service skills with a proven ability to interface positively and professionally with customers.
  • Experience : Proven work experience as a sales representative; highly motivated and target driven.
  • Skills :
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze market potential.
  • Culinary experience is a plus.

Schedule & Hours : Monday-Friday. Flexible hours with some weekends as needed.

Yearly Salary : $65,000 - $90,000 based on experience.
