We are looking for a Director of Media Analytics to lead our data-driven strategy and decision-making. As a director of analytics, you will oversee collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources, such as first party data, digital media data, and business performance data. You will also lead the development and implementation of analytical frameworks, tools, dashboards and best practices to support our business goals and objectives. 

Director of Media Analytics

The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in the digital media ecosystem (Google Analytics, Adobe, Meta, etc.), data management, statistics, or a related field, with proven experience in leading media analytics projects and teams. The candidate should also have excellent team leadership, communication and presentation skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the leader of the Gravity Media Analytics team and interface with leaders of other teams with the Media Group; these include Planning and Activation teams.
  • Manage a team of analysts and data engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of our products, services, and processes.
  • Develop and lead analytic processes and programs that meet defined client and agency objectives.
  • Lead the development of client and internal-facing dashboards, analyses, and other related output designed to communicate media, marketing, and other business-related outcomes.
  • Work with vendor partners to help understand how various platforms and providers can deliver useful solutions to Gravity and our clients.
  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis and communicate them clearly and persuasively to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Collaborate with other departments and functions to identify and solve business problems using data and analytics.
  • Establish and maintain data quality standards and ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies, methods, and techniques to enhance our analytical capabilities and competitive advantage; Stay abreast of key industry trends.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in media analytics, data science, or a similar role, with at least 5 years of experience in leading analytics teams and projects.
  • Expertise in using various analytics tools, platforms and processes such as: ETL, SQL, Google Analytics, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience in an advertising agency or marketing services company is preferred.
  • Strong ability to manage a multi-national media analytics team.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • A strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • A passion for data and innovation, with a curiosity to learn new skills and explore new opportunities.
