A large, global financial services firm is looking for an Accountant to join their team in their Stamford, CT office.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain Fund level general ledger accounting
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual fair value financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including using dividend income and equity methods of accounting
• Prepare quarterly cash flow reports
• Prepare investor capital calls and distributions
• Prepare investor reports and respond to investor’s questions
• Prepare and review debt covenant compliance reports
• Prepare tax general ledgers and other schedules needed for tax accountants completion of returns
• Prepare and maintain waterfall models in accordance with partnership agreements
• Maintain cash balances and manage sources and uses at the fund levels
• Monthly reconciliation of Risk/Trading system profit and loss to general ledger
• Performs analysis to ensure accuracy of gross margin
• Prepares and books journal entries impacting the gross margin; identifies and reconciles discrepancies that impact the gross margin
• Prepares and allocates cost of cash usage by dept/portfolio
• Analyzes, ensures accuracy, and prepares reconciliation of trade accruals, inventory and other accounts
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements include:

• BS in Accounting
• 2-5 years accounting experience, financial reporting and general ledger;
• Big 4 experience preferred
• Experience with/knowledge of IFRS is a plus
• Strong understanding of Accounting systems
• Superior Excel skills
• Self-starter with proven ability to multi-task
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
