The Stamford based family office of a UHNWI is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their small team. They need someone with corporate accounting experience, who is very smart, polished and personable. This is a hybrid position and the hours are 8:30-6.
Responsibilties:
Accounting– for various business entities and household
- Daily cash booking
- Monthly accrual entries
- Monthly cash reconciliation
AP oversight – various business entities and household
- Review and approve Bills (processing of AP performed by outside vendor)
- Answer questions from accounting partner and vendors
- Monitor AP timelines
Financial Reporting
- Monthly financials - various business entities and household
- Exposure (investments, cash, etc.)
- Fund redemptions/liquidity
Other Business Needs
- Assist with general office management: Employee cell phones, car service accounts account, lunch provider accounts, expense reporting – employee and household credit cards, cost optimization
- Prep wires for Cap Calls and expense needs
- Coordinate /review property taxes
- Coordination of other tax materials
- Assistance with subdocs for new investments
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 4 year degree (Business, Accounting or Finance Majors preferred)
- Knowledge of Quickbooks on-line, Bill.com, Addepar a plus
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience as an accountant in a corporate setting (no audit/public experience required)
