Position : Senior Communications / Network Field Engineer

Location : Huntsville, AL

Schedule : Full-Time/Exempt

Position Description:

Gray Analytics is seeking a Senior Communication / Network Field Engineer candidate in support of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Interoperability Team at Redstone Arsenal. This individual will be responsible for providing technical expertise for tactical communications equipment in support of research, development and integration efforts.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support the Missile Defense Agency with the Deployment, Testing, Integration and Upgrading of the THAAD missile system equipment pieces of the Tactical Operations Station (TOS) and Launch Control System (LCS).
• Follow detailed test procedures in a fast-paced field environment.
• Travel to various locations specified by the Missile Defense Agency in support of THAAD operations and testing.
• Deploy and provide support for various Tactical Communications systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering and 8 years of experience or 14 years related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good interpersonal skills
• Deep understanding of Tactical Communications Systems and/or Tactical Networking
• The ability to support mission requirements during evenings and weekends as scheduled
• Ability to create and edit configurations for CISCO routers, switches, and firewalls as it pertains to current and future network infrastructure

Must Have:

• Must be physically fit with an ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds with little to no assistance
• Must have experience integrating and deploying LOS and SATCOM related systems in one or more of the following: SMART-T, SNAP, CPN, and JNN
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a US Passport.

Desired Experience:

• A working knowledge of Link-16 Data protocols
• Ability to research, test and understand communication equipment and provided organized thoughts and suggestions in reference to that equipment in a concise and understandable manner

Security Requirements:

• United States SECRET level security clearance.
