Purpose:

Gray Mechanical is looking to add a skilled and experienced Fabrication Shop Welder to join the prefabrication shop team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks for HVAC and plumbing components according to blueprints, specifications, and industry standards.
• Work closely with other fabrication shop personnel to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Cut, shape, and prepare materials for welding and assembly.
• Operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Identify and correct any welding defects or discrepancies.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company safety policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training, preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding and fabrication, preferably in an HVAC or plumbing context.
• Proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
