Job Summary/Description:

WTAP is looking for a Weekend Weather Anchor & MMJ. The position includes producing a and anchoring weathercasts on our weekend newscasts. The candidate will also work as a 3 day a week reporter. The shift runs Wednesday - Sunday and hours vary. The position works some extra hours for severe weather & covering other shifts.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Prepare graphics to support weather presentation.
- Conversational On-air presentation.
- Must be able to utilize social media during severe weather.
- Producing and presenting clear and concise weather casts.
- Developing content and graphics for on-air, web and social media.
- Work with producers to determine relevant weather content in breaking and everyday situations.
- Candidate must bring professionalism, energy, confidence and personality to our newscasts and our newsroom.
- Skills as a MMJ are a plus.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in journalism, meteorology or related field required.
- Ability to be creative with graphic design and presentation.
- Strong on-air communication skills.
- Experience with WSI Max weather system is a plus.
