Job Summary / Description :

KKCO News, Mesa County’s dominant multimedia news organization seeks a detail-oriented, technology savvy Programming / Traffic Assistant capable of producing creative, high-impact sales presentations, managing multiple projects simultaneously, updating and maintaining programming information, and responsibilities require you to schedule commercials, on-air promotions, and programming so that the TV transmission has continuity.

Duties / Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Organize all content for television broadcast
• Coordinate, and schedule commercials, on-air promotions, and programming so that the TV transmission has continuity
• Communicate with advertiser and / or agency to make sure that their ads get placed in the requested time slot
• Create logs that show when commercials aired throughout the broadcast
• Complete and accurate entry of information into the media assets broadcast system
• Responsible for checking and scheduling all production materials and content to ensure a seamless broadcast
• Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Effectively communicate with other internal departments for sales campaigns
• Ability to perform at a high level, multitask efficiently, and meet deadlines in this fast-paced environment
• Assist sales managers with team-oriented tasks
• Update programming in Wide Orbit Media Sales
• Update and maintain programming guide information
• ComScore and Nielsen reporting and assigned FCC reporting such as KidVid
• Oversee Network programming policies and communicate with network affiliate reps
• Other duties assigned

Qualifications / Requirements :

• Must have good communication skills and be able to interface with the sales team
• Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment
• Highly skilled with Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail are essential
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Energetic, competitive and self-starter
• Capable of learning new systems promptly and thoroughly
