The Graystone Manor in Huntingdon is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Second Shift Caregiver to join our team!

2nd Shift Hours ( 3:00 pm-11:30 pm)

The ideal candidate will have an attitude that encourages the older population to age with grace in place.

As a caregiver, you will play a crucial role in providing attentive and personalized care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents in a long-long term care setting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning, ensuring safety at all times.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behavior to the appropriate medical personnel or supervisors.
• Foster a supportive and engaging environment by interacting with residents, providing companionship, and encouraging participation in social activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized living space for residents, including light housekeeping duties and laundry.
• Follow established care plans and protocols tailored to each resident's specific needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other staff to ensure comprehensive and individualized care.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a similar caregiving role, preferably in a personal care home or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills and empathy when interacting with residents and their families.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and attentive in various situations.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology and ability to follow care plans accurately.
• Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and perform necessary tasks.
• Background check, health physical, drug screening and TB test required.
