Description

The primary purpose of our Member Account Servicing Specialist is to assist Great Lakes Credit Union to live out our vision, "To be the members' trusted financial partner".

As a Member Account Servicing Specialist , you will be responsible for accurate and time handling of Account Servicing responsibilities, including IRA, HSA, Deceased Accounts, Unclaimed Property, Debit cards, and Legal order requests. You will be responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal and external members, in alignment with our Service Promise 

As the Member Account Servicing Specialist your duties will be: 

• Process deceased claims and monitor accounts of the deceased.
• Review all GLCU’s IRA transactions to ensure completion and accuracy.
• Verify records for IRA’s required minimum distributions (RMD), including tracking records, set-up, file maintenance, annual record audits, and IRS reporting.
• Process account and file maintenance.
• Answer and resolve all member inquiries related to their debit cards via phone, email, or internal channels
• Complete special requests for all authorized user cards and rush card orders
• Handle alerts for all ATM machines and reach out to vendors for required maintenance.
• Order and maintain adequate cash levels for all GLCU ATMs.
• Process Legal Order requests such as levies, subpoena, Power of Attorney (POA), citations, and all other court orders.

Requirements

Requirements needed for success in the role: 

• 1 to 3 years of previous experience in an operations support role in a financial institution is strongly recommended.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• CIS I or above certification preferred 
• Demonstrated excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A passion for helping and supporting others.
