Compensation $95,546.72 - $159,308.97 (Based on Experience) Summary The CIP Program Assurances Manager is responsible for implementing, leading and managing the quality, risk, and safety management processes detailed in the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Program's Program Management Plan (PMP). The CIP Program Assurances Manager works under the direction of the CIP Director, and working closely with the GLWA leadership and Member Partners is a resource and subject matter expert (SME) to the CIP Delivery Team, including all CIP project delivery teams. Job Responsibilities
Develop and maintain productive and cooperative relationships with Program and Project delivery Team Members, Operations and the Financial Services team
Manage consistency with application of PMP processes and plans and implement audit strategies that comply with professional standards
Understand and recognize engineering and construction industry standards, key performance drivers, business trends, emerging technologies and industry developments
Develop people and team commitments to quality, risk and safety objectives by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions
Deliver status reports of CIP Assurances' Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to GLWA Leadership Team Members
Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback/training
Resolve procedural disputes or disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies
Use technology to learn continually and share knowledge with Assurance Leads to enhance program delivery
Lead education programs to continually develop skills
Interview, hire and train Assurance Team Members
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in the related operational or functional fields, such as Engineering, Chemistry, Accounting, or Human Resources
Five years of recent management and operational experience gained through progressively more responsible positions.
Professional accreditation in an area related to the operational or functional field may be required for some specialty areas at the discretion of the GLWA Chief Executive Officer and Organizational Development Unit
Education requirement can be substituted with extensive experience at the discretion of the GLWA Chief Executive Officer and Organizational Development Unit
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of Ten (10) years of project quality, risk, and/or safety control in capital projects or equivalent experience in a utility operations area, business planning, accounting, finance, construction management and/or project management
Knowledge of program assessment and control process, practices, and procedures
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
Strong computer and research skills; knowledge of analysis software is preferred (e.g., Statistical Analysis Software or System Applications and Products)
Project management or relevant experience
Professional Risk Manager (PRM) certification
Background in ISO, Lean, 6Sigma or equivalent certification
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must have a valid State of Michigan Driver's License
