Role OverviewReporting to the Director, Regional Implementation Services, the Associate Director, Territory Implementation Services will support Great Minds in its mission to promote adoption and effective implementation of all curriculum products. Maintaining intimate knowledge of the features of Great Minds products and services, the Associate Director, Territory Implementation Services will empower a large and complex team with diverse roles to support districts and schools to successfully implement Great Minds curriculum with efficacy and impact. This role will ensure that all team members:
  • foster long-term relationships with district leaders, school leaders and teachers;
  • develop effective implementation plans with partners and evaluate progress; and
  • provide high-quality onsite, job embedded strategic consulting and coaching that result in student growth.
Responsibilities
  • Establish territory support strategy that meets regional expectations and priorities.
  • Manage a team of Success Leads and Success Coaches who are responsible for the success of accounts in a territory.
  • Own responsibility for success of all accounts and team members, including meeting ambitious KPIs to achieve scale, sustainability, and impact in territory.
  • Stay abreast of evolving state priorities, legislation, funding, and initiatives to inform expansion and support strategies.
  • Support the professional growth and development of Success Leads and Success Coaches as direct reports as they, in turn, support accounts in a territory.
  • Systematize district level strategy for all Great Minds curriculum implementations in a territory.
  • Enact processes to identify partners’ unique needs and support a team of Success Leads and Success Coaches to address those prioritized needs.
  • Support Success Leads in securing services for accounts and ensuring that quality services are delivered as requested.
  • Ensure consistent use of systems to manage information flow about implementations for both internal and external purposes.
  • Support Sales Territory Managers and Account Solutions Managers (ASMs) to expand adoptions and support pilots.
  • Deliver professional learning network services and lead other activities to build community among district and school leaders within a territory.
  • Provide timely communication with the Director, Regional Implementation Services and Success leadership related to risks, feedback, and other matters relevant to Great Minds and its mission.
  • Cultivate and maintain a strong and supportive Great Minds culture in all work environments, with an emphasis on trust, collegiality, curiosity, and quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience managing a large and complex team with diverse roles in addition to at least 7 years of experience in education
  • Experience leading a district- or school-level implementation of Great Minds' curriculum; or, high quality instructional materials.
  • Proven track record working within the New York City public school system or similarly large and complex school systems, demonstrating an ability to effectively navigate decision-making processes influenced by a dynamic political landscape, including understanding the roles of key stakeholders and the implications of policy decisions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in educational consulting or coaching, site-based leadership, curriculum decision-making, and professional learning facilitation with a track record of meeting measurable goals or student outcomes
  • Experience monitoring, analyzing, and strategizing around local and state education policy to inform expansion and support
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, prioritize work streams and resources to meet goals, and communicate effectively with others to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
  • Strong presentation skills with exceptional written and oral communication utilized for both internal and external audiences
  • Ability to make solutions-oriented decisions through flexible thinking in an ambiguous, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

The base salary range for this position is $143,000-$161,000, however the offered salary may be higher or lower than the above range dependent on numerous factors including, but not limited to location, work experience, skills and internal equity considerations.. The base salary is not inclusive of benefits or other incentives.
