  • Mission

  • Position Summary
    • The Environmental Service Manager is responsible for, under the direction of the Director of Support Services, developing and implementing goals and objectives; manage staffing and expenses within budget guidelines; establishing departmental policies and procedures; performing quality inspections, completing performance appraisals, providing direct and indirect supervision of EVS and Laundry employees; providing for continuing in-service education; maintaining inventory levels; preparing reports; serving as a resource for special requirements in Environmental Services .
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Education
      • High school degree or equivalent required with 3 plus years’ experience in Health Care environmental services and 2 plus years supervising or managing employees
    • Credentials
      • State Required: None.
      • Facility Required/Preferred: A current motor vehicle operator's license required.
  • Physical Demands
    • Stand and/or walk occasionally.
    • Sits frequently.
    • Bend occasionally.
    • Reach floor to above shoulders occasionally.
    • Carry 30 pounds 50 feet occasionally.
    • Eye hand coordination and visual acuity within normal limits.
    • Push and/or pull 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Essential Functions
    • Manages day-to-day operations of Environmental Services and Laundry
    • Executes proper training and coaching of supervisors and staff
    • Develops and implements goals and objectives for the department to meet budgeted productivity standards
    • Reviews, develops, recommends, and implements departmental policies and procedures
    • Conducts performance appraisals for EVS and Laundry employees
    • Ensures daily communication huddles happen during each shift.
    • Manages department in accordance with approved operating margin and other key financial indicators.
    • Maintains proper cleaning chemical inventory and supplies
    • Ensures safety program for all personnel within the department in conjunction with the safety program of the hospital.
    • Performs daily rounds with staff to ensure cleaning quality meets to exceeds patients standards.
