Great Plains Manufacturing is Hiring a Supplier Quality Technician Near Salina, KS
This is an Hourly role that typically works Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Travel outside of Kansas up to 5%.
- Travel inside of Kansas (i.e. day trips to suppliers) 10%.
- Escalate unresolved external quality issues as appropriate to facilitate resolution.
- Maintain Warranty and Service problem tracking documents.
- Effectively communicate, both verbally and written, the status of projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with suppliers focusing on the improvement of product quality.
- Participate in monthly Product Support meetings.
- Participate in vendor Quality Process Audits.
- Recommends new Quality standards or improved methods and procedures.
- Implements quality actions required in New Product Development Process.
- Identify opportunity for internally designed Quality Check fixtures.
- Assist in problem solving activities and resolution as it pertains to quality of current products.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends on current products.
- Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
- High school diploma plus 5 or more years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Quality related positions.
- Ability to work independently with a positive attitude. Self-starter.
- Strong analytical, organizational, planning skills with knowledge in project management.
- Experience in Quality processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of precision measuring tools.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
