Job Title: Cost Accountant Department: Finance

Job Summary: GPI is seeking an experienced cost accountant to manage costing systems and lead improvement projects to meet ever-changing and complex business needs. This position will work with key stakeholders throughout the company to develop and implement costing changes needed for decision-making within the business. In addition, this position will be a contributor to the monthly close process and cross-train in other functional areas to support overall departmental objectives.

Job Details:

Own cost accounting processes for US and international manufacturing entities, including but not limited to:

• Performing rate calculations and cost rolls
• Conducting project cost tracking and analysis
• Reconciling inbound/outbound freight and tariffs and analyzing costs
• Managing transfer pricing structure between entities
• Maintaining country of origin on inventory items
• Analyzing and researching inventory variance accounts
• Leading the analysis and implementation of improvements and adjustments to costing systems as necessary
• Fielding adhoc reporting and analysis request

•Own and manage fixed asset tracking and reconciliation.

•Support month-end accounting close process and assist in producing monthly financial reports.

Job Qualifications:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with 1- 3 years’ experience in similar corporate environment

• Prior experience in cost accounting and ERP systems

• Exceptional MS Excel experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to interpret financial documents with clarity

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 3 years’ experience in cost accounting

• Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools

• Demonstrated personal motivation with a focus to complete assigned goals
