GGICF is growing and seeking a Program Officer to join our team.

Position Overview: As a Program Officer at our community foundation, you will play a pivotal role in managing grantmaking processes, developing and implementing impactful programs, fostering community relationships, and ensuring organizational compliance. Reporting to the CEO, you will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve our mission and help people turn their passions into purpose.

Responsibilities: As a Program Officer at our community foundation, your role is central to managing our grantmaking process from start to finish. This includes reviewing proposals, conducting due diligence, monitoring grant impact, and preparing reports for stakeholders. You'll guide potential grantees, manage distribution committees, and ensure compliance with policies. You participate in program development and implementation; you'll identify strategic funding opportunities, collaborate to implement initiatives addressing community needs and adjust strategies based on performance. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and representing the foundation at events will be key, along with supporting team collaboration and maintaining accurate records of activities.

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and demonstrate proven success in nonprofit program management or related fields. A solid understanding of philanthropy, community development principles, and strong communication skills are essential. Proficiency in computer applications and a high level of organizational skills are also required, along with a commitment to community betterment.
