New Bedford Community Health (NBCH) is Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing comprehensive, innovative primary care and office-based women’s health care services to diverse and underserved female patient populations in New Bedford, MA; a fantastic outpatient opportunity for a board certified/eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician who’s passionate about healthcare for Women.

Under the general supervision of the Medical Director/Chief Medical Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Comprehensive outpatient primary care services including treatment of acute and chronic illness, preventive services, gender-specific screenings, and mental health services
• Well-woman annual exams, birth control counseling & management
• Reviewing medical histories, interpreting diagnostic tests and labs
• Managing complex medical issues within the scope of internal/family medicine practices
• Diagnosing patient injury/illness and providing appropriate treatment and education
• Facilitating appropriate utilization of the healthcare system and appropriate follow-up care
• Establishing collaborative practices with members of team
• Communicating with referring clinicians/facilities to ensure effective integration of care
