Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide routine care, observe health, assist registered nurses, and communicate instructions to clients with disabilities and mental illness regarding medication, home-based care, and preventative lifestyle changes.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Admit new residents.
- Assign and delegate duties to non-licensed nursing staff.
- Monitor resident care and supervise other nursing staff.
- Perform ongoing assessments of resident's physical and mental health.
- Explain procedures and treatment protocols to residents.
- Monitor resident's over all health during every visit.
- Verify patients are taking the correct dosages of medications.
- Remaining on-call for patients who have healthcare emergencies.
Other Specialized Knowledge and Abilities
- Possess leadership/supervisory skills.
- Must be able to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
- Able to work irregular hours, occasional weekends, and evenings.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be registered and licensed with the State of Minnesota as a Licensed Practical Nurse and must maintain a current and unrestricted licensure.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- At least three years' experience working in an assisted living/nursing home.
Job Types: Full time, Part time
Available Shift: 8am-4pm
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
