We are seeking a Quality Inspector/Technician for the third shift.
Training will be done on the first shift for one to two weeks and transition to the third shift.
What You'll Do:

• Responsible for checking with Molding to see what jobs are being produced on the Disa’s.
• Ensure the chart specifications, being used to record the Brinell Hardness Number (BHN), match the Process Sheet.
• Brinell 3 castings from each Product Number being produced every 20 minutes.
• Reference the Process Sheets for the proper Brinell location.
• Use the Belt Sander to remove approximately 0.8mm (.030”) to prepare the surface.
• Use a Brinell Machine to make an indentation in the casting. The size of the indentation is dependent on the hardness of the casting.
• Use a Brinell Scope to measure the size of the indentation.
• Record the BHN on the appropriate chart. All readings must be legible and neat. The BHN must be graphed on the line directly above the BHN.
• Notify the Melting Supervisor anytime a point/reading is “Out of Control”.
• Any time a point/reading exceeds the Specification Limits, must notify the Melting Supervisor and QC Supervisor immediately.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe, neat and orderly work area.
• Report all unsafe conditions, injuries, and illness to your supervision immediately.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
