Green Bay Country Club is Hiring an Event Staff Near Green, WI

SUMMARY:

Green Bay Country Club is hiring an Event Staff member to support a wide variety of both private and club events and functions. The Event Staff position is a great opportunity for individuals who love working with people and providing exceptional customer service. The primary duty of the Event Staff will be to assist the Food & Beverage Team in the successful execution of various events and functions by providing setup and clean-up services and aid guests when needed. Some functions include wedding ceremonies and receptions, themed club events, golf tournaments and outings, cocktail receptions, showers, business meetings, celebration dinners, holiday parties, and more. In this job, you will learn from and work closely with the Event Supervisor on your day-to-day job functions. You will also work with other food & beverage management team, front of house service staff, and culinary team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Provide assistance to Event Supervisor and Food & Beverage Management team

•Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the event

•Set up event spaces according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, and decorations

•Expected to learn and familiarize with all event and dining menus

  • Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products and communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed
  • Accurately balance your end of shift reports, tip outs, cash drops, and accommodating receipts in compliance with the Club’s policies and procedures
  • Accountable for accurate member account and cash transactions, event billing, and utilizing the Club’s Point of Sale system and credit card authorization systems

•Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including dining and bar equipment

•Ability to work cohesively with fellow staff, embrace a team player attitude, and understand your role within the team and work to achieve your duties to the best of your ability together

•Understanding and providing quality food and beverage service in accordance to Green Bay Country Club’s standard steps of service

•Performs opening and closing duties provided by management

•Safely and effectively transport food or beverages from all areas in the front and back of house

•Must attend all event related pre-shift meetings as scheduled

•Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet and event areas

•Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices

•Anticipate member and guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations

•Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment

•Relay important information about orders, allergies and special requests to Food & Beverage team

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

•Complete Green Bay Country Club’s front of house service training with a complete understanding of our dining standards

•ServeSafe Certification

•Previous event staff or customer service experience

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills

•Able to work independently and as part of a team

•Able to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

•Able to lift and move event materials up to 25 pounds
