Green Dentistry of Leander is Hiring a Business Assistant Near Cedar, TX

Job Summary:
The Business Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a dental office by managing administrative tasks, coordinating patient appointments, handling financial transactions, and providing excellent customer service. This position requires a combination of organizational skills, attention to detail, interpersonal communication, and proficiency in office software and dental practice management systems. This is an entry level position.

Responsibilities:

Patient Scheduling:

  • Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations efficiently.
  • Coordinate appointments to optimize the dentist's schedule and minimize downtime.
  • Remind patients of upcoming appointments through phone calls, emails, or text messages.

Front Desk Operations:

  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival and ensure a pleasant experience.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and address patient concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, including managing patient files and records.

Administrative Support:

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
  • Coordinate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other staff members to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Patient Communication and Education:

  • Communicate treatment plans, procedures, and financial obligations to patients in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, appointment reminders, and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Follow up with patients to gather feedback and address any concerns or issues they may have.

Software Proficiency:

  • Utilize dental practice management software for scheduling, billing, and patient record management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for administrative tasks.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in office administration or healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Previous dental experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including ) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Professional demeanor and customer service orientation.

Schedule:

  • Full Time, 35-40 hours per week
  • Rotating Saturday & Sunday's
  • Weekdays flexible

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
