Green Key Resources is Hiring a Network Engineer Near New York, NY
- Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining networks for a company whose network is central to its operations
- Able to efficiently analyze and deconstruct technical problems
- Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
- Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
- Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
- Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
- Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting, and updates
- Investigating issues in the network
- Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
- Reporting network status to key stakeholders
- Degree in Computer Science or another related field
- CCNP certification desired
- Analytical thinking and ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Good time management skills
- Strong documentation skills
- Ability to follow and create processes
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – and the ability to describe detailed problems with brevity and accuracy
