Green Mountain Animal, LLC is a family-owned company that specializes in manufacturing premium quality products for companion animals. The purpose and mission of Green Mountain Animal is to research, develop, acquire, market/educate, and distribute supplements for non-food chain animals that are of the highest quality, purity, standards, and safety. The purpose/intent of these animal supplements is to provide benefits for the greater health and well-being of companion animals including the cat, dog and horse.

Job Role: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

Job Purpose

The purpose of the entry level position is to formulate nutraceutical products based on customers specifications. The position is responsible for representing the company by providing clear concise communication to the customers and internal departments.

Job Responsibilities

The responsibility of the Product Development Associate, but is not limited to the following:

· Formulate nutraceutical products based on customer’s product specifications.

· Determine appropriate packaging and labeling specs to meet project requirements.

· Source required materials for project requirements.

· Understand and implement applicable labeling guidelines.

· Coordinate and communicate customer needs with purchasing, production, logistics, and quality control.

· Abide by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) established by the company.

· Review all customer specifications per applicable regulatory standards.

· Research on nutraceutical ingredients, packaging and market to stay abreast of current trends.

· Improve existing process or innovate new processes to bring efficiency.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to sit/stand for the duration of a shift.

· Ability to type and work at a computer for extended periods.

· Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

· Must be at least 18 years or older.

· Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science required, Animal or Food Science preferred.

· Experienced and proficient in Microsoft Applications.

· Strong communication skills required.

· Reliable Transportation and the ability to be consistently punctual.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
