GREENE COUNTY GENERAL HOSPITAL is Hiring an Executive Director of Rural Health Clinics Near Linton, IN

 

The Executive Director of Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) is responsible for the operations, staffing, finances, direction and administration of the hospital’s rural health clinics. The Executive Director of RHCs is a member of the My Clinics Executive Leadership Team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leads RHC Executive Leadership Team and Providers to ensure deliver of quality services and programs.
  • Participates in recruitment, interviews, selection, discipline and evaluation process for directly supervised staff and other key positions.
  • Responsible for interactions with physician recruitment and assists in the negotiation all physician contracts.
  • Maintains administrative reports and statistical information on all aspects of the clinics.
  • Prepares and maintains budgets and all necessary financial reporting and provides information to the CEO/CFO and Board of Directors.
  • Ensures that the RHCs operate according to federal and state guidelines and contributes to GCGHs mission and goals of client satisfaction, quality of care, and productivity.
  • Administers clinics under personnel policies, fiscal policies and other policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for compliance with all legal requirements of the clinic functions and programs and the physical facility.
  • Oversees routine assessment of clinic functions in conjunction with the Executive Leadership Team and makes necessary changes in line with the expansion of services and efficient clinic operations.
  • Oversees all operational and administrative functions of the Clinics in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Oversees and approves purchase of equipment, furniture, medications and other supplies needed for the RHC’s operations and when appropriate under adopted policies and procedures.
  • Oversees the necessary maintenance of the RHC physical sites and makes layout adjustments as appropriate for staff and patient growth.
  • Assists administration with the negotiation and execution of third party payor contracts.
  • Oversees collaboration with the Quality Department to measure quality metrics and implement improvement plans.
  • Ensures compliance with Rural Health Clinic regulations.
  • Oversees management of the RHCs in line with the established goals, aims and objectives expressed by the CEO and the Board of Directors.
  • Strategizes in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team the organization’s short-range and long-range program goals, particularly in organizing and planning.
  • Maintains a high level of public recognition and interaction with the medical community and the local community at large to maintain the future success of the clinics.
  • Serves as the organization’s principal leader, representative and spokesperson to the greater community.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of safety and quality improvement activities.
  • Demonstrates clear ownership of workplace and patient safety.
  • Reports mistakes, near misses, adverse events and quality and safety concerns.
  • Protects patient confidentiality and abides by all HIPAA and privacy laws.
  • Participates in administrative call.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Job Requirements

Education: Master’s degree in administration, management or related clinical field required.

Licensure/Certification: N/A

Experience: At least 3 years of previous experience as a director or manager in a clinical health setting. Knowledge of financial systems, policy and procedure development and strong financial background in administration and management required. Thorough knowledge of administration, management and general understanding of the health care delivery system required. This position requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise sound leadership and judgment. Public relations knowledge and expertise to maintain a good public image of the clinics, is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements: Frequent walking, standing and sitting. Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. The ability to stoop, bend and reach. Good visual acuity.
