Support implementation of Laboratory Network Segmentation intake

Report to GTS Technology Operations (TechOps) Manager, in conjunction with lead Laboratory IT Support representative and laboratory staff to onboard PCs into their Laboratory Network Segment

Configure equipment to enable staff to remotely connect to networks and resources through RDP

Manage and support access to network attached storage (NAS) device dedicated to Laboratory Network Segment

Train staff on how to operate within the Laboratory Network Segment once intake is completed:

Including remote access from local user PC to PCs within Laboratory Network Segment, access to dedicated network attached storage (NAS) file shares, transferring data between laboratory PC and local user PC via remote access sessions

Document intake of Lab PCs in conjunction with Lead Laboratory IT Support representative, lab staff, and subject matter experts

Assist with Help Desk calls and tickets for laboratory staff in DS/TAC as needed

High School Diploma and 6 years of experience, associate's degree and 4 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of Laboratory Technology and Lab Instruments. Experience in a Research [RC1] Laboratory environment is preferred

Working knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Operating System Local Users & Groups

Customer-focused "self-starter" with the ability to work both independently and on a team, with minimal supervision

Proven analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Aptitude for understanding and troubleshooting technical problems

Ability to routinely lift equipment up to 45lbs

Able to travel to satellite offices for GTS support needs
