Position: Sr. Staff Accountant

Location: Oxford, NC

Pay: Starting at $75,000/year

Experience: 4-6 years of Accounting experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in business or accounting, preferred.

Type: Full-time; Temp to Hire!

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8am to 5pm and Friday, 8am to 2pm

Greene Resources is seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Generate summary sheets and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Oversee payroll processes and prepare payroll reports.
• Proof accounting reports and allocate expenditures to correct accounts.
• Analyze and reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and post monthly journal entries.
• Oversee reconciling of sub-ledgers to general ledger regularly.
• Prepare monthly/annual closing duties and 1099 forms.
• Maintain a good filing system of all accounting documents.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, annual audit, and other auditing projects.
• Provide constructive and timely feedback for performance evaluations.
• Oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of accounting staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• High proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
• Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• People-orientation with a customer-focused.
• Ability to train others in related practices and procedures.
