Greeneview Local School District is Hiring a Title I Literacy Teacher Near Jamestown, OH
Greeneview Middle School is searching for a Title I Literacy Instructor for the 2024-2025 school year. The Title I instructor is a member of the Middle School (grades 4-7) teaching team and will work to support classroom teachers in an inclusive classroom environment and also tutor students in small groups in grades 4 and 5 to provide focused literacy intervention. Applicants must be licensed and qualified to teach literacy in the state of Ohio. Preference will be given to those who also possess a Reading Endorsement or other specialization in literacy. - an understanding of best practices for literacy instruction
- the ability to differentiate instruction to accommodate learners with multiple ability levels and learning needs in a small group setting while supporting instruction in an inclusion classroom
- the ability to effectively plan and teach lessons to meet the needs of at-risk learners
- the ability to keep accurate and thorough records
- a record of consistently managing paperwork and assignments in a timely manner
- the ability to work as a part of a team with Title 1 colleagues and with classroom teachers
- the willingness to be a mathematics resource for parents and teacher colleagues
- the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and peers
