GreenKiss Staffing Solutions is Hiring a Quality Assurance Technician - 3rd Shift Near Franklin, MA

3rd Shift Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Franklin, MA
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00/hour
Hours: Sunday - Wednesday, 7pm - 5am

Position Summary

Join our team as a Quality Assurance Technician and play a crucial role in ensuring the excellence of our products. In this role, you will inspect and test products at various production stages, compile and evaluate data, and help maintain our high standards of quality and reliability. This position is vital in supporting our customers' quality requirements, overseeing production from start to finish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Product Testing: Select and test products at specified production stages for various qualities such as dimensions, performance, and chemical characteristics.
  • Testing Procedures: Conduct destructive and nondestructive tests to measure performance, life, and material characteristics.
  • Material Rejection Report Management: Oversee the MRR system, ensuring proper procedures and management of out-of-specification material.
  • Corrective Actions: Determine corrective action steps with team leaders and follow through with customer support and acceptance.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain, inspect, and calibrate analytical devices including paper test lab equipment, balances, gloss meters, and humidity gauges.
  • Data Recording and Evaluation: Record test data, apply statistical quality control procedures, and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from standards. Complete customer COA/COC and audit data/testing as required.
  • Factory Calibration Program: Administer the Factory Calibration Program for all gauges.
  • Label Roll Database Management: Maintain the database by daily disposition of defective material.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide real-time problem solving related to quality issues and recommend modifications to achieve optimal quality.
  • Environmental Data Integrity: Maintain accurate environmental log data and collaborate with the Health and Safety Manager.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • Proven experience in quality inspection and assurance.
  • Ability to conduct thorough quality audits and implement corrective actions.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance & Quality Inspection in manufacturing preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capability.
  • Initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Project management experience.
  • High school diploma required; 2-year technical degree in engineering technology or equivalent preferred.
