Job Summary:
The Fertilizer Terminal Multiple Location Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple fertilizer terminals. This role ensures efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards of customer service and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, inventory management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations at multiple fertilizer terminals to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and safety.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, train, and mentor terminal managers and staff to achieve operational goals.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining strong relationships with clients and addressing any issues promptly.
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all terminals comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure all employees are trained in safety procedures.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for each terminal, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on service quality.
- Prepare regular reports on terminal performance, including financial, operational, and safety metrics.
- Logistics and Supply Chain:
- Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient transportation of fertilizer products.
- Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
- Resolve any logistical issues that arise and implement preventive measures to avoid future problems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in terminal or warehouse management, preferably in the agricultural or chemical industry.
- Proven experience managing multiple locations and large teams.
- Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel frequently to different terminal locations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software.
Work Environment:
- This position requires frequent travel between terminal locations.
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and environments typical of a fertilizer terminal.
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
