Job Summary :
Green River Construction is recruiting for a Laborer to be based out of Vernal, Utah. The Laborer is responsible for providing assistance to the residential construction team.
Responsibilities & Duties :
- Maintain clean and safe work areas
- Assist the Foreman with residential construction duties and tasks
- Identify hazards associated with task assignments and ask questions when clarification is needed.
- Load / unload materials as needed.
- Have minimum tools associated with trade.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and / or Safety.
- Be able and willing to perform, execute a variety of construction work duties
- Have a good understanding and experience in construction trades required to build a residential home. ?
Qualifications & Skills :
- Performs essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, accurately, and safely with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing threat of harm to self or others.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and emails. Ability to write simple correspondence and emails.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to apply understanding to carrying out simple one-or-two step instructions.
- Commits to and meets all scheduled attendance and production deadlines.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active drivers license
- Ability to solve disputes between workers
- Ability to safely lift heavy object
