Administrative Duties:
Daily stay on top of practice member messages in the Message Center portion of the EMR, as well as through the intra-office email system. Examples: request for non-opioid medication refills, scheduling imaging studies and/or blood work results reviews, etc.
DAILY stay on top of the medical provider(s) for prompt answers to practice members’ correspondence. YOU are the medical provider(s)’ quality control gauge. You will NOT be bugging the medical provider(s), but will be keeping them honest, and from falling behind with outstanding practice members’ tasks. Medical provider(s) greatly appreciate YOU making sure that all pertinent practice members’ messages have been addressed before leaving the clinic the same day.
Promptly document all correspondence (“If it wasn’t documented, it wasn’t done.”) in the EMR. This includes taking screenshots from the info account. Place these screenshots into the practice member’s chart, etc.
Perform prior authorizations for insurance “covered” imaging studies. Spine and extremity-based MRIs, CTs, and ultrasounds are the most common studies.
Perform RARE prior authorizations for medications (Example: Cover My Meds)
Closely monitor procedure room, recovery room, infusion room, and exam room inventories. Keep these areas tidy at all times.
Respond quickly to potential new practice member referrals. These are received usually via the general “info” email account, which is linked to the current practice website. Practice member referrals will also come from marketing partner, Big Boost Marketing (BBM). Be very comfortable with using the BBM P2P app (not on your cellphone) since you will use this for HIPAA compliant SMS communication /- phone calls with established and potential new practice members.
Fax records to approved entities.
Collect patient payments at check-in and provide patient receipts.
As office practice administrator, assist the medical provider with posting payments to the practice management system. Follow up with final outstanding PI (personal injury) and WC (worker's compensation) payments.
Clinical Duties:
Obtain vital signs, and other pertinent EMR chart information on scheduled established and new practice members.
Assist with fluoroscopic and/or ultrasound guided spine and joint orthobiologics injection therapy
Recover practice members in the recovery room, following fluoroscopic spine and intra-articular (IA) hip joint injection therapies
Draw up medications for trigger point, IA, IM, and SQ injections.
Venipuncture for orthobiologic therapy
Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) procedure assistance

Experience Pluses:
