Berkshire Place Nursing in Providence, RI is in search for a dynamic and experienced Director of Social Work to lead our social services division in our local skilled nursing facility

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of long term care/ skilled nursing experience required.
- Strong knowledge of social work practices, ethics, and regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology for data analysis and reportin
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the social work department, aligning them with Berkshire Place's mission and goals.
- Oversee a team of dedicated social workers and support staff, ensuring effective program delivery and quality service provision.
- Recruit, train, and mentor social work professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Manage departmental budgets and resources efficiently, optimizing the use of available funds to maximize social impact.
- Stay informed about the latest social work practices, policies, and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices within the organization.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to collaborate on initiatives that benefit our residents and their families.
- Advocate for the rights and well-being of residents, ensuring they receive appropriate services and support.
- Implement quality assurance measures to assess program effectiveness, make necessary improvements, and maintain high standards of care.
- Utilize data and metrics to evaluate the impact of social work programs and make data-driven decisions to enhance services.
- Prepare regular reports for senior leadership and board members on the performance of the social work department.
