Summary of Duties:This position will support the Plating departments (Greenwood & Hodges) by providing administrative and technical assistance as it pertains to quality control and quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties: conducting inspections on quality related issues, reporting findings, generating reports, supporting, and inputting on special projects, participating in ISO audits.What You'll Do:
Communicate significant issues or developments, such as nonconformities, both verbally to all necessary parties and by tracking them on an established Excel spreadsheet.
Work with Plating departments to move parts through the QA Hold Area in a timely manner.
Handle or coordinate the transportation of scrap or rework materials, initiating and organizing scrap reduction whenever applicable.
Assist Plating departments with process improvements to include, but not limited to, quality alerts and operator training.
Establishing procedures and training manuals specific to production and quality where applicable.
Assist Quality manager and Plating departments in evaluating established procedures on a periodic basis.
Responsible for performing and recording validations/calibrations for X-Ray machines, as needed.
Assist in the facilitation and execution of internal and external ISO, customer, or supplier audits.
Perform plating line audits at scheduled intervals to accommodate all lines in both the Greenwood and Hodges facility.
Assist Quality department with other duties or special projects when assigned or as time allows.
Follow all required safety guidelines.
Requirements:
Minimum age of 18 years old.
Associate's degree in manufacturing or quality related field and a minimum of 1 year of applicable experience in an industrial environment; or High School Diploma/GED and 3-years of mid to upper-level quality experience. Other education and experience combinations may be considered.
Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Proficient in keyboarding, data entry, and office equipment.
Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize. Must possess and demonstrate good written and communication skills.
Must maintain adequate attendance, safety, and job performance according to company policies and standards.
This job requires standing, stooping and bending 100% of the time.
Must be able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled.
