Summary of Duties:Work with Industrial Maintenace mechanic lead to use preventative and predictive maintenance approaches to optimize the life cycle of production machines and equipment. Performs other duties assigned by supervisor.What You'll Do:
  • Maintains and services a building or plant's mechanical equipment, control systems, power distribution systems, and HVAC systems.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and routine repairs to systems and equipment.
  • Conducts periodic safety and maintenance inspections to evaluate equipment for replacement and identify wear and damage.
  • Uses technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair equipment, engines, and compressors.
  • Orders parts needed for replacement and coordinates with service providers to complete maintenance tasks.
  • Uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or work order system to track and document activities.
  • Ability to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe, and electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and testing equipment.
  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Layout, assembles, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gages, valves, regulators, and equipment as necessary.
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of manufacturing establishments and adjacent buildings and grounds.
  • Follow established safety procedures and immediately report any unsafe conditions or operations.
  • Additional job duties may be assigned based on the need of the department.
Requirements:
  • Minimum age of 18 years old.
  • 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Ability to work on-call duty (24/7), on a rolling weekly basis, typically once a month, with additional pay incentives.
  • Capable of managing small and/or ongoing projects while handling routine and emergency maintenance duties.
  • Ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
  • Experience working with 120/480v controls and motors.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills; and the ability to read and understand electrical manuals.
  • Strong analytical background.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, a wide variety of tools and equipment.
  • Must maintain forklift operator certification.
  • Computer skills: including Microsoft Office, CMMS knowledge or ability to learn company specific systems.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 75 pounds at occasional intervals. Ability to stand, stoop, and bend for most of the shift. Must be able and willing to work at varying heights. Must be able to work in steel toed boots. Must demonstrate good eye and hand coordination in functions and have good color vision. Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experienced using Allen Bradley PLC software to diagnose issues with automated equipment.
  • Installation, programming, and repair of automated machinery and equipment, using control systems such as SLC 500, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and CompuLogix.
  • Certified Technician experience with mill OEMs a plus: Mazak, HAAS, EHRT, or other CNC machines.
