Gregg Young Automotive Group is searching for a Quick Lane Technician to become a member on our Fixed Operations TEAM at our Chevrolet, Cadillac, Ford, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram dealership in Newton, Iowa.
Quick Lane Technician Responsibilities:
- performs oil changes, tire rotations, vehicle maintenance, and basic automotive repairs
- education, certification, and advancement opportunities supported by the dealership
- accurately & efficiently assess & diagnose customer concerns
- conduct multi-point video inspections
- establish working relationships with our quality, professionally trained service advisors to provide the best service experience and secure future customer retention & referrals
- service managers empower quick lane technicians to execute their job responsibilities as the advisors and parts dept. work to make the job more efficient, more effective & more rewarding
- income security of a busy shop, opportunity to learn, grow, and advance encouraged
- responsibilities of the job align with the income earned
- operate independently as rapidly as possible to service the concern & get to the next job with the support of the service manager and service advisors
Requirements:
- Full time employment: M-F 7:30-4:30 (dedicated day off) and Saturdays 7:00-3:00
- Experience as a Quick Lane Service Technician preferred
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for automotive repairs
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
