Based in Madrid, Spain, Grenergy Renovables is an independent power producer that aims to expand its global wind, solar, and energy storage portfolio. We are seeking a Development Manager to spearhead the development of major energy storage projects across major markets in the US, with a primary focus on ERCOT and will report to the Development Director for ERCOT. The ideal candidate will oversee the management of energy storage projects, starting from site origination and leading up to commercial operation. This role involves working closely with the Greenfield Development, Business Development, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams throughout the entire project lifecycle, from origination to commissioning.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating with multiple different business units in order to align the goals . This person will be responsible for conducting due diligence, budgeting and creating timelines for necessary projects or events.

Role & Responsibilities

• Engage ISO/RTO stakeholders to identify new areas of interest and greenfield opportunities
• Manage and conduct due diligence on portfolio acquisitions, identify opportunities and risks, and define priorities among multiple project portfolios based on development metrics
• Lead projects through financing due-diligence efforts
• Lead and drive the development of energy storage projects from initial project siting/acquisition through permitting, design, interconnection approvals, contracting, financing, and handover to construction
• Administer service agreements and contracts with land, environmental, and permitting consultants
• Develop and manage project budgets and schedules and take a lead role in budget and forecast management, including coordinating project prioritization and performing budget analysis
• Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams
• Support the negotiation of critical project agreements, including Battery Supply Agreements, PPAs, IAs, EPC contracts, and O&M agreements
• Identify, contract with, and collaborate with co-development partners to grow the overall development pipeline

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance or relevant field
• 3 years of management experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational and communication skills
