THE ROLE:

The Vice President of Finance will be responsible for developing and directing the company’s analytical, financial plans, and policies. This role will also report on metrics to optimize our growth by understanding where efficiencies exist to maximize scalability throughout the year. The successful candidate will oversee the accounting operations, gather, and analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the financial advisor to the CEO and executive team for strategic planning purposes
• Oversee all areas of accounting operations, including payables, receivable, and procurement
• Develop appropriate tracking methods for revenue and expenses
• Prepare timely and accurate analysis, summaries, and reports of financial data on the operating process of the company
• Create a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting structure that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operational needs (bi-monthly cash position and forecasting)
• Strategic and operational planning
• Routinely and proactively review cycle metrics to identify and address issues affecting overall performance
• Manage the company’s compliance with local and federal regulatory matters
• Partner with senior leaders to ensure the company hits revenue target
• Perform full forecasting three times per year
• Provide regular reporting updates of cyclicity of buying and sales portfolio
• Provide regular updates of buy-to-sell process
• Review and maintain an in-depth understanding of inventory and logistics
• Maintain an understanding of intercompany agreements to develop business
• Hold monthly review with budget-holders to ensure cost control

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• 10 years of proven work experience as a director of finance or similar role
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
• In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit and tax compliance and other regulatory matters
• Adept in fiscal management principles and process, including resource management and needs assessment
• Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
