Job Opportunity: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Woodstock, CT
OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer with a knack for maintaining, developing, and executing manufacturing systems. The ideal candidate would be responsible for optimizing production costs while ensuring the product or service quality remains unaffected. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of project management and the ability to generate innovative solutions to manufacturing-related challenges.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Design and conduct research to evaluate manufacturing processes.
  • Study product requirements to develop efficient manufacturing processes, which includes researching testing methods and liaising with equipment vendors.
  • Analyze and plan workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Design testing methods to assure product and process quality.
  • Calculate production, labor, and material costs to provide decision-making information for manufacturing.
  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Answer questions and requests to provide manufacturing engineering information.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a minimum of three years’ experience with CAD software (SolidWorks).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong computer skills, and knowledge of SolidWorks software.
  • An understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, multi-task, prioritize workload and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
Education And ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in an engineering-related field or 3 years of practical experience utilizing CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
Physical RequirementsExpect prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
